Starting in the summer of 2010 the International Institute of Hypnosis will focus its resources on researching the effectiveness of hypnosis in combating some of the common health problems currently plaguing America. Our goal is to advance the field of hypnotherapy by conclusively determining the preventative and curative capabilities of hypnosis in these key areas.

Unfortunately these research efforts will require a delay in the Hypnotherapy Certification classes until April of 2011. I apologize for any inconvenience that the postponement may cause you. However, I feel that it is critical to conduct this research.

We already know that that 50 million Americans suffer from frequent insomnia and 60 million more fight chronic pain. Almost 70% of Americans are overweight and one in four has high blood pressure. About 40 million people deal with anxiety daily and one in twenty struggles with depression. 70% of all visits to the family doctor are stress related. The list goes on and on.

Tragically, the vast majority of people suffering from these issues are completely unaware that hypnosis can alleviate or eliminate many of these problems. For most people, including most health care professionals, hypnosis remains a mystery and its magnificent benefits go untapped.

Our focus on quality research is designed to provide a solid foundation of conclusive information which will help patients and health care professionals recognize the safety and power of the hypnotic process in fighting these needless “epidemics.”
